It was a lovely day for a drive and we did have a lovely drive. Lots of green fields sheep and dairy cattle lots of old stone fences which we think convicts may have build. The whole area is strewn with volcanic rocks which were spewed up. more »

Giant Kelp at Killarny Beach. We stayed at a park just on the beach. As I was walking on the beach two guys nearly drowned their car but I could not get there quick enough for a picture.

Two young guys with one of those sea scooter things. They were pulled out of the ocean, opened the doors and let the sea out, amazingly started the car and drove it out of harms way. Then not going to let that mar their day they took of on their sea… more »
Dahlias at Portland Botanical Gardens and the Aluminium smelter. There were great stacks of aluminium ingots stored there and this conveyer travels a great distance to the port .

We had a lovely time in the Grampians very spectacular but he weather was cold and a bit bleak. Not good for photographs,but it is certainly worth seeing and if you are a walker there are lots and lots of tracks and trails to follow. more »
