Not a good day at Apollo Bay - Drama with the awning
We were still in bed when there was this almighty bang - our awning broke its mountings and flew over the roof. As there had been no strong wind just this one mighty gust we were shocked to say the least. We spent the best part of the day getting it down - no easy feat. Then had to secure the roller part to the roof as there is nowhere else long enough to accomodate it. We have found a place in Ballarat who will fix it or replace it whatever when we get there. You might also note that the bus is bogged down in the lawn and has been that way since we arrived here over a week ago.
