Dahlias at Portland Botanical Gardens and the Aluminium smelter. There were great stacks of aluminium ingots stored there and this conveyer travels a great distance to the port .
The Caravan park we stayed in at Portland was on the river and next door to the Botanical Gardens, We have been thrilled with the roses we have seen in our travels but I had not seen dahlias like this since I was a child. They were nearly finished but still stunning
