In and around Mt Gambia SA
We moved on to Port MacDonnell that is a few klms south of Mt Shank and only 28klms from Mt Gambia. The whole area around here is amazing all limestone and there are a lot of sinkholes where over time and water wear have caused the ground to just drop. There are lots of caves under the city and surrounds. The blue lake in Mt Gambia is an amazing extinct volcano crater and right at the edge of town. It is the town water supply and an amazing inky blue. And the Big sinkhole was cultivated as a private garden in the early 1900s I think. Worth a look. A lovely city with lots of lovely well kept old buildings and houses.
