Meckering a nice little town north of Northam, They had an earthquake bake in '68 which registered 6.9 on the R Scale. Not much was left standing but no lives were lost, It was felt in Perth

We stayed here in a free rest stop for 4 days I think. We had to re register the big trailer in WA much better than Qld believe me. Anyway, there were complications and after 3 trips to NOrtham about 30 mins away I was in possession of the new number… more »

This lovely old stone building was once a hotel. The railway line was removed and it is now a coffee stop on the wildflower route to see the wreath flowers Great scones and lovely people.

The yellow is cape weed. Remembered from my childhood Mum would not allow them in her garden or lawn. But massed like this they are spectacular.

Daisy chain flowers (Cape weed) I remember them as a child, we had to hunt up enough of them in the footpaths to make a daisy chain there are huge fields of them here glowing bright yellow making a spectacular sight.
