Please look these up on the internet as they are awesome they are a form of life that has survived for 3.6 billion years and among the first living organisms to evolve on EarthHamelin shell "stone" quarry. Tiny shells (they don't grow any bigger) have been washed up over 1000.s of years and have cemented together. Quarried, cut with cross saws, and used as building blocks in earlier days. They are really quite beautiful. »
